Marc Buchholz began his career in shipping more than 20 years ago with the shipping group KG Fisser & v. Doornum GmbH & Co. in Hamburg. After training as a shipping merchant he was in the Operations Department at Fisser & v. Doornum active. Later he took over the function of assistant to the management / owner of the company. After 10 years in this traditional shipping company, from 2004 to 2011 he took over the position of Fleet Manager and Commercial Director of the shipping companies G.H.S. Global Hanseatic Shipping GmbH & Co. KG, Quadrant Bereederungsges. mbH & Co. KG as well as DS Schifffahrt GmbH & Co. KG. In 2012, Marc Buchholz and other partners set up today's Conmar Shipping GmbH & Co. To this day, he is one of the managing partners of this company, which offers different shipping services for seagoing vessels. In addition, Marc Buchholz holds several honorary positions, i.a. since 2015 he is President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers / German Branch e.V.
