Bernd Michahelles

Bernd looks back on 28 years of an international career. Following studies of business economics at the University of Mannheim / Germany he joined Unilever in 1990. The first seven years in Sales, he held positions in Trade Marketing, Category- and Key Account Management and as a Manager supervising a sales team. In 1997 he moved to Marketing and took on the responsibility as a Senior Brand Manager AXE with local responsibility for the brand and European responsibility for the development of the shower gel extension. In 1999 Bernd moved to Belgium following his promotion to a Marketing Manager Personal Care and member of the local board. In 2003 he was appointed Marketing Director Home and Personal Care as well as Media-Director Unilever Switzerland.

In 2006 after more than 15 years of service for Unilever, Bernd decided to leave the company and he moved back to Germany and joint COP Consulting Partners as a Senior Project Director. During this time he worked for leading FMCG, B2B and telecom companies.

In September 2008 Bernd became the Managing Director of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company in Germany and a member of the SFRTI leadership team. With JTI´s acquisition of the company and brand Bernd joint JTI as a Director International Brand Development, driving business integration and expansion into new markets. In 2017 Bernd left JTI, became Partner of CSP Consultants and today he is working on strategy, marketing and sales projects predominately in the consumer goods sector.
